Jungho Hwang, Professor, Mechanical Engineering
Professor Jungho Hwang earned his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at U.C. Berkeley in 1991, after receiving his M.S. and B.S. from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University in 1985 and 1983, respectively. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Yonsei University. He continued his scientific research in the Center for Combustion Research at University of Colorado at Boulder as a research associate before joining the Yonsei University. Professor Hwang is interested in functional nanoparticle generation, electro-hydrodynamics, aerosol agglomeration technology, coal & biomass gasification, circulating fluidized-bed technology, and CFD study on power generation facilities. He has served for a large number of government-led technical committees to provide his insight into energy and environmental issues.

Soonho Song, Professor, Mechanical Engineering
Professor Soonho Song earned his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Stanford in 2002, after receiving his M.S. and B.S. from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Yonsei University in 1996 and 1994, respectively. His professional career started at biomedical companies located California, which enabled him to build up great connection with industry. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Yonsei University. His group has performed research on fuel reforming assisted by plasma and laser, gas engine utilizing syngas or biogas, and optical diagnostics for particle measurements. He has applied these technologies for hydrogen production, vehicle power trains, and defense industry.

Jongsup Hong, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering
Professor Jongsup Hong earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2009 and 2013, respectively, after receiving his B.S. from the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Seoul National University in 2007. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Yonsei University. Prior to joining the Yonsei University, he conducted numerous energy-related research projects at Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) as a senior research scientist. His research interests include heat and mass transport for efficient energy conversion, thermal management for novel energy systems, homogeneous and heterogeneous chemistry for environmentally-benign fuel utilization, design of thermo-electrochemical energy conversion devices, low-carbon & highly-efficient thermodynamic power cycles, and new and renewable energy hybrid systems.
